Parallax is a parasitic entity in the DC Comics universe that embodies fear. It is a powerful cosmic being capable of possessing and corrupting individuals, amplifying their fears and turning them into instruments of terror. The character played a key role in the destruction of the Green Lantern Corps, corrupting Hal Jordan and leading to the events of the Emerald Twilight storyline.
